Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (preferred or as required by state guidelines)
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, especially in elementary settings
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs
• Collaborative approach working with teaching assistants and educational staff

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support for students with special needs in a separate setting classroom
• Develop, execute, and monitor IEPs tailored to individual student goals
• Work closely with two teaching assistants to create a positive, structured environment
• Track and report student progress, adapting strategies as needed
• Communicate regularly with families, specialists, and fellow educators
