Job Description
Make a significant impact as an Exceptional Children Teacher supporting elementary-aged students in a separate setting classroom. Work in a collaborative, resource-rich environment with a small group of 10 students and two dedicated teaching assistants. The schedule runs from 7:30am to 3:00pm, offering predictability and work-life balance through a contract assignment.

Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (preferred or as required by state guidelines)
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, especially in elementary settings
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs
- Collaborative approach working with teaching assistants and educational staff
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support for students with special needs in a separate setting classroom
- Develop, execute, and monitor IEPs tailored to individual student goals
- Work closely with two teaching assistants to create a positive, structured environment
- Track and report student progress, adapting strategies as needed
- Communicate regularly with families, specialists, and fellow educators
