Job Description
Make a meaningful impact in the lives of high school students by providing dedicated support as a Special Education Teacher. You’ll be working full time, Monday through Friday, supporting students through their educational journeys and growth.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid North Carolina Special Education License
- Required teaching credentials and certifications for Special Education
- Experience with high school students is highly valued
- Background in behavioral interventions or supporting students with behavioral needs is preferred
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and faculty to ensure a collaborative approach
- Utilize creative and evidence-based strategies to support student development and engagement
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional methods as needed
- Manage a diverse caseload, maintaining compliance with state and federal requirements
- Support students in both academic and behavioral growth, collaborating with other professionals as necessary
