Step into an impactful role supporting students through the 2026-2027 school year in a vibrant school district. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you’ll empower learners to reach their full communication potential in an engaging and collaborative educational environment. This contract opportunity makes a meaningful difference by providing direct support at Cambridge-South Dorchester High School and Dorchester Career & Technology Center, with weekly visits to Maple Elementary School.

Start Date: August 24th, 2026
End Date: June 10th, 2027
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week

Your expertise will shine every day as you work closely with staff, students, and families to deliver evidence-based speech and language interventions, contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams, and foster student progress from elementary to high school settings.

Qualifications & Experience Needed:

  • Possess a current, active Speech-Language Pathology license in Maryland
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous experience in school-based SLP roles or comparable settings
  • Strong understanding of state regulations and IEP documentation requirements
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings and evaluations
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Adapt therapy approaches for diverse student needs
  • Maintain up-to-date records and participate in IEP meetings
  • Partner with educators and families to maximize student outcomes
  • Rotate weekly between high school, technology center, and elementary school locations
