Job Description

Make a meaningful impact by joining a dedicated initiative designed to transform the educational experience for students exhibiting intensive social, emotional, and behavioral needs. This contract position focuses on nurturing student growth through comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health support, all within a collaborative, data-driven school environment.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Current School Psychologist certification
  • Experience working with school-aged children in diverse settings
  • Strong background in behavioral interventions, assessment, and counseling
  • Proficiency in conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP)
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care and early intervention strategies
  • Adept at leading or supporting MTSS frameworks
  • Skilled communicator with the ability to consult and collaborate with educators, families, and allied professionals
  • Capacity to handle crisis situations and participate in safety and transition planning
  • Commitment to creating equity and opportunity for students facing significant barriers

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and small-group counseling to students
  • Conduct psychoeducational and behavioral evaluations to guide interventions
  • Complete FBAs and assist in developing/monitoring BIPs
  • Partner with teachers, families, and other specialists to enhance student outcomes
  • Participate in IEP and Section 504 meetings as a psychological services expert
  • Support school-wide MTSS efforts and help implement trauma-informed practices
  • Respond to crises and help develop effective reintegration and safety plans
