School Psychologist in New Castle, DE

Step into a pivotal role supporting high school students as a School Psychologist for the 2026–2027 academic year. This full-time, in-person contract position is situated in a vibrant educational setting near New Castle, DE. You'll play a hands-on role fostering student wellbeing, collaborating with school teams, and making a daily impact on high schoolers’ academic and emotional growth.

Qualifications:

• Active Delaware (DE) School Psychologist license (required)
• Prior school-based and high school experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated skill in conducting psychoeducational evaluations and assessments
• Proven ability in report writing and documentation
• Comfortable participating in IEP meetings and collaborating with district staff
• Willingness and ability to work onsite, five days per week (no remote/hybrid options)
• Dependable, with reliable transportation for daily attendance

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver psychoeducational assessments to high school students
• Draft comprehensive evaluation reports and share findings with educational teams
• Participate actively in IEP meetings, providing input and recommendations
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, administrators, and families to design support strategies for student success
• Adhere strictly to all procedural and ethical guidelines as set by the district and state
• Maintain clear and confidential records in accordance with best practices

This is a Monday through Friday opportunity, 37.5 hours weekly, running from late August to mid-June. Interviews are conducted via Microsoft Teams and require an active DE license at the time of presentation. Candidates should be comfortable initiating fingerprinting requirements on arrival.
