School Occupational Therapist | New Castle, Delaware

Join a vibrant educational environment near New Castle, DE, as a dedicated Occupational Therapist. This contract position invites you to make a meaningful difference in both an elementary school and Early Learning Center setting. You’ll collaborate with a supportive team focused on fostering growth and independence in young learners. The assignment begins August 24, 2026, and extends through June 16, 2027, featuring a schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

In this role, you will provide direct therapy services and perform evaluations, initially splitting your time between the elementary school and the Early Learning Center during a maternity leave. Following this period, you will transition to serve full-time at the Early Learning Center. Please note that this position is exclusively for licensed Occupational Therapists and is onsite only—COTAs will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Occupational Therapist license required
• Previous school-based experience highly preferred
• Proficiency in completing evaluations and delivering direct intervention
• Experience supporting elementary and early childhood student populations
• Comfort working in dynamic, multi-site school environments

Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy sessions and group interventions in accordance with students’ IEPs
• Assess and document student needs, progress, and outcomes
• Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support
• Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and planning
• Maintain timely and accurate records as required by school and state regulations
