Step into a fulfilling role supporting students and staff as a school psychologist with a contract assignment near Wilmington, DE. This position offers the chance to join a dedicated educational team seeking an additional psychologist to provide valuable services throughout the academic year. The contract runs from August 31, 2026, through June 11, 2027, and is full-time at 37.5 hours per week. While five days on-site is preferred, a flexible hybrid arrangement—three days on location and two days remote—may be considered.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure as required
- Previous experience working as a school psychologist in educational settings
- Skill in conducting assessments, providing counseling, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Adaptable to working with various grade levels (grade assignment TBD)
- Able to work independently and as part of a support network
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psycho-educational assessments and evaluations for students
- Develop and implement intervention strategies
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP planning
- Provide individual and group counseling as needed
- Consult with educators, parents, and administrators to support student development
- Maintain accurate, timely records and comply with legal and district policies
