Step into a vital role supporting students’ academic and emotional well-being with this full-time, in-person opportunity as a school-based psychologist for a high school setting. This contract position runs from late August 2026 through June 2027 and requires a commitment to working five days a week onsite near New Castle, DE. Your expertise will be crucial in psychoeducational evaluation, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and guiding students through their high school journey.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Delaware (DE) School Psychologist license (must be provided for consideration)
- Previous experience in a high school or school-based setting strongly preferred
- Demonstrated skill in conducting psychoeducational evaluations and assessments
- Proficiency in crafting comprehensive, insightful reports
- Familiarity with participation in IEP meetings and collaborative practices with school staff
- Must possess reliable transportation and be comfortable with a fully onsite work schedule (no hybrid or remote options)
- Ability to complete required fingerprinting within the first few days (upfront payment required)
Position Responsibilities:
- Deliver psychoeducational evaluations for high school students
- Prepare clear, detailed reports outlining findings and recommendations
- Actively participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and support in the development of student plans
- Work collaboratively with educators, parents, and district staff to advocate for student needs
- Maintain strong, supportive relationships with students while upholding professional boundaries
- Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
