Step into a rewarding contract position as a physical therapist supporting K-12 students for the 2026-2027 school year. Work across multiple schools in a thriving district near Newark, NJ, making a real difference in students’ lives. This is a full-time opportunity, with a consistent weekday schedule from 8:30AM to 3:15PM—offering both meaningful work and work-life balance.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid New Jersey Physical Therapist license required
  • Experience in school-based PT preferred (K-12 experience a plus)
  • Ability to work across different school sites within the district
  • Capable of meeting all New Jersey onboarding requirements: TB test, physical examination, fingerprinting
  • Comfortable with Zoom interviews as part of the hiring process
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive physical therapy services to students from kindergarten through twelfth grade
  • Assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with school staff and families
  • Travel between multiple schools within the district, adapting services to a variety of educational environments
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
  • Engage actively with teachers, administrators, and parents to facilitate student progress and inclusion
  • Contribute to IEP meetings and deliver training or recommendations to staff as needed
