School Physical Therapist | Newark, New Jersey

Embark on a rewarding full-time contract opportunity supporting students across multiple schools in a vibrant K-12 district near Newark, NJ. This position provides the chance to make a positive, meaningful impact on children and adolescents, working with educators and families to foster student growth from September 4, 2026, through June 25, 2027.

Enjoy a consistent Monday-Friday schedule, working 35 hours per week from 8:30 AM to 3:15 PM. This role serves students district-wide, ensuring a dynamic variety of experiences and opportunities to collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals in an inclusive educational environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Hold a valid Physical Therapy license in New Jersey
• Experience or strong interest in school-based PT services for K-12 populations
• Ability to work effectively across multiple campuses
• Must complete or obtain the following New Jersey requirements prior to start date:
  • Current TB test
  • Physical examination
  • Fingerprinting (for both staffing agency and school district)
• Comfortable with virtual interviewing (Zoom)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide physical therapy services to K-12 students, focusing on individualized education plans
• Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to develop and implement therapy interventions
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
• Travel between schools within the district as needed for student sessions
• Actively contribute to IEP meetings and student assessments
