Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist supporting student success in a positive and collaborative school environment near the Waukegan, IL area. This full-time role spans from early September through mid-December, coinciding with a maternity leave placement, and provides the chance to make a tangible impact with elementary and middle school students. Enjoy a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, totaling 37.5 hours per week, and become a valued resource driving student growth and communication development.

Qualifications & Desired Skills:

  • Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathology license required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
  • Experience working in school settings, supporting elementary and middle school populations
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, families, and educational teams
  • Ability to work onsite daily; remote or virtual placements are not an option for this position
  • Organizational skills to manage a dynamic caseload and documentation

Key Duties:

  • Conduct screenings, assessments, and individualized speech-language therapy sessions for elementary and middle school students
  • Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to each student’s needs and IEP goals
  • Engage positively with teachers, staff, and families regarding student progress and strategies
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute actively to IEP meetings and educational planning
  • Foster a welcoming and supportive atmosphere that encourages student participation and growth
