Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students during a maternity leave coverage in the vibrant North Chicago area. This full-time, on-site position runs from September 4, 2026, through December 11, 2026, providing essential speech and language services to elementary and middle school students. With a 37.5-hour week schedule, you’ll be instrumental in helping students build communication skills and succeed academically.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Active Illinois SLP license required.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in a school-based setting with elementary and middle school populations.
  • Familiarity with IEP writing, implementation, and progress-monitoring.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with a variety of speech/language disorders.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Perform assessments, evaluations, and therapy for students with communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educational teams.
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and deliver progress reports for students receiving services.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state requirements.
  • Educate and collaborate with families, teachers, and other staff to support student outcomes.
  • Adapt activities and approaches to meet the diverse needs of the student caseload.
