Job Description
Embark on an exciting contract opportunity tailored for speech-language pathologists passionate about making a difference in students' lives within a therapeutic day school setting. This dynamic position offers a meaningful chance to apply your SLP-CCC expertise as you support a manageable caseload of approximately 20 students for the 2026-2027 school year.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Illinois SLP license
- Professional Educator's License (PEL) through ISBE for Illinois schools
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience working in a school environment or with children and adolescents (preferred)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and feeding/swallowing disorders in a dedicated therapeutic day school
- Develop and implement personalized IEP goals and intervention plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic student support
- Document progress and maintain compliance with all state and school district requirements
- Provide direct and consultative services as needed, adapting methodologies to optimize student outcomes
