Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a full-time Speech Language Pathologist for a maternity leave coverage this upcoming school year. This contract position spans from September 4, 2026, through December 11, 2026, and offers the chance to make a significant impact within both elementary and middle school settings. You’ll work onsite, Monday through Friday, for a total of 37.5 hours each week, collaborating closely with school staff to help students strengthen their communication skills and achieve academic success.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Must hold an active Illinois Speech Language Pathologist license (required)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Previous experience working in a school environment serving elementary and/or middle school students
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to engage with students, families, and educational team members
  • Skilled in developing and implementing IEP goals, progress monitoring, and providing both individual and group therapy sessions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy services onsite—virtual or remote candidates cannot be considered
  • Conduct thorough student assessments and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress, and communication with staff and parents
  • Collaborate with educators, counselors, and families to foster students’ communication development in academic and social realms
  • Contribute to IEP meetings and support compliance with all state and federal mandates
