An exciting contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to provide coverage for a maternity leave during the 2026-2027 school year. This onsite position serves elementary and middle school students, offering the chance to make a significant impact on young learners in a supportive educational setting. The assignment runs from September 4, 2026, through December 11, 2026, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current and active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Experience working within the school environment, supporting students from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to engage and manage caseloads at both elementary and middle school levels
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with educators, families, and students

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy services to students onsite, addressing a variety of communication, articulation, and language needs
  • Evaluate, develop, and implement IEP goals in alignment with students’ educational plans
  • Utilize evidence-based practices and data-driven decision making to monitor student progress
  • Collaborate with other educational professionals and participate in team meetings as required
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
  • Communicate effectively and compassionately with families and caregivers regarding progress and recommendations
