Make a real impact in the lives of students by providing dedicated support as a contract Special Education Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. This is an exciting opportunity to work in person within supportive school communities located near Northfield, VT. Two full-time positions are available: one serving middle school students and the other focused on elementary-aged learners.

Both roles provide the chance to design and deliver effective interventions that enable all students to access their educational potential. As a valued team member, you’ll collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to ensure individualized success stories.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher licensure meeting state requirements (non-negotiable)
  • Demonstrated experience in K-8 settings, preferably in public school environments
  • Expertise developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Strong commitment to in-person instruction—remote or VOCO not available
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Passion for creating inclusive, engaging environments for diverse learners

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students’ IEP goals
  • Assess student abilities and contribute to multidisciplinary evaluation processes
  • Serve as a resource to general education teams regarding accommodations and modifications
  • Participate in IEP meetings and regularly communicate progress with families
  • Maintain thorough records and comply with state and district regulations
