Make a difference as a Special Education Teacher working in-person with students in a supportive school environment for the 2026-2027 academic year. Two positions are available: one focusing on middle school students, and the other on elementary-aged learners. Both roles are on a full-time contract basis and offer the unique opportunity to help students thrive through individualized instruction and collaborative practices.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Valid Special Education teaching credentials as required by the state
  • Demonstrated experience working with students in special education settings, preferably in a school environment
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to in-person teaching (remote opportunities are not available for these roles)
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Flexibility and adaptability to support a diverse range of learners

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and support students with special needs in person, promoting academic and personal growth
  • Create and adapt lesson plans and instructional materials to meet individualized goals
  • Work closely with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure coordinated care
  • Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in meetings to discuss educational strategies
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and encouraged
  • Comply with all school and district policies and state regulations

Role Details:

  • Middle School Special Educator at a combined middle and elementary school
  • Elementary School Special Educator at a city-based combined elementary and middle school
  • Full school year contract (late August to mid-June)
  • 37.5 hours per week
