Qualifications & Skills:

• Valid Vermont Special Education Teaching Certification
• Degree in Special Education
• Experience or strong interest in early childhood education
• Ability to design and adapt curriculum for young learners
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff and families
• Strong organizational abilities and a creative approach to problem-solving

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute individualized education plans for early childhood students
• Foster an inclusive classroom community that encourages growth and participation
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Engage families in their child’s educational progress through regular communication
• Track and document student progress, adjusting strategies to best meet needs
• Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal special education guidelines
