Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid Vermont Special Education Teaching Certification
- Degree in Special Education
- Experience or strong interest in early childhood education
- Ability to design and adapt curriculum for young learners
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff and families
- Strong organizational abilities and a creative approach to problem-solving
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute individualized education plans for early childhood students
- Foster an inclusive classroom community that encourages growth and participation
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Engage families in their child’s educational progress through regular communication
- Track and document student progress, adjusting strategies to best meet needs
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal special education guidelines
