Qualifications:
- Active Vermont Special Education Teaching Certification is required
- Degree in Special Education
- Background in early childhood education is strongly preferred
- Experience with IEP development and delivery, progress monitoring, and collaboration with educational teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Flexibility and compassion when working with young learners and their families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and interventions for early childhood students in accordance with each IEP
- Collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals, therapists, and general education staff
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
- Foster a caring, inclusive classroom environment that encourages engagement and confidence
- Involve families and caregivers in their child’s educational progress and goals
