With dedicated school hours from 8:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, you’ll have the chance to make a lasting impact while engaging with a manageable caseload of 15-18 students.

Key Qualifications:

• Current North Carolina teaching license in Adapted Curriculum (required).
• Experience working with students with autism, especially those following extended content standards.
• Background in resource and inclusion settings at middle or high school level is highly desirable.
• Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt curriculum as needed.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with families, staff, and service providers.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive, and structured classroom environment.

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to students with high levels of autism or extensive support needs.
• Implement, monitor, and revise IEPs in accordance with state guidelines.
• Work closely with paraprofessionals and interdisciplinary teams.
• Utilize various instructional strategies and assistive technology to maximize student engagement.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and regularly communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Participate in professional development and staff meetings as required.
