Special Education Teacher - Dover, Pennsylvania

Two Special Education Teachers are needed to provide high-quality instruction and individualized educational plans within a dedicated learning center.

This is a contract position, Monday through Friday, from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, for the upcoming school year beginning in August 2026 and extending through June 2027. Your start date is flexible and will begin as soon as all required Pennsylvania state clearances are completed and pre-service training is fulfilled.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification in Special Education is required
• Previous experience working in special education, preferably with students on the autism spectrum
• Strong collaboration skills to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Flexibility to adapt to potential changes in classroom assignments or support needs
• Proficient in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Excellent communication and classroom management abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
• Design and modify lesson plans tailored for students with diverse learning needs
• Employ evidence-based strategies for behavior management and skill development
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families to support student progress
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with reporting requirements
