Desired Skills and Requirements:

• Current and valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in Special Education
• Ability to obtain and submit all required Pennsylvania clearances before your start date
• Successful completion of IU-assigned pre-training prior to beginning the assignment
• Previous experience or strong passion for working with students on the autism spectrum is a plus
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
• Professional, compassionate, and adaptable approach in changing environments

Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based instruction to students in Autistic Support settings
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to individual student needs and IEP goals
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Monitor student progress, assess outcomes, and adjust approaches as necessary
• Maintain accurate records, following legal, district, and ethical guidelines
