Physical Therapist - School Setting in Wallace, SC

Make an impact on students’ lives through an engaging opportunity to provide physical therapy services across multiple school sites. This contract role offers a balance of onsite and virtual (VOCO) work supporting K-12 students. You will collaborate with dedicated educational teams and supervise services provided by a PTA, ensuring the highest standard of care and progress for each student.

What You’ll Bring:

• Active, unrestricted South Carolina PT license (required)
• Experience or strong interest in pediatric or school-based physical therapy
• Ability to supervise and mentor a PTA delivering services virtually
• Commitment to documenting progress and adhering to IEP goals and requirements
• Excellent communication skills for interprofessional teamwork and parent engagement
• Flexibility and organization to manage onsite and VOCO schedules efficiently

Your Role:

• Deliver in-person physical therapy services for K-12 students at multi-school locations
• Supervise a licensed PTA for the delivery of virtual (VOCO) therapy services, review documentation, and provide mentorship
• Complete 37.5 hours per week of onsite therapy plus 20 hours per week dedicated to supervision, documentation, and other virtual responsibilities
• Evaluate students’ physical functioning and needs, define therapy goals, and determine intervention strategies in cooperation with school staff
• Maintain accurate records, write progress notes, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
• Foster a collaborative and supportive environment for student growth and independence
