Physical Therapist - School Setting in Marysville, WA
Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity to support students’ physical development as an in-person Physical Therapist, working with school-aged children in a collaborative educational environment. This contract position is located near Marysville, WA, and offers a part-time schedule of approximately two days per week (.4 FTE), with flexibility in selecting which weekdays you work.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
- Previous experience in pediatric or school-based physical therapy preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and families
- Ability to perform a variety of therapeutic interventions tailored to each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP)
- Demonstrated capacity to work independently and manage a flexible caseload
- Commitment to maintaining accurate records and timely documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ motor needs and develop appropriate therapy plans to support educational access and participation
- Deliver one-on-one and group physical therapy sessions in a school setting
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other related service providers
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed to ensure student goals are met
- Provide consultative support and training to school staff for adapting environments and activities
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings and contribute therapeutic expertise to discussions around student needs
