Make a meaningful difference as a school-based occupational therapist for the upcoming academic term. This rewarding contract opportunity is perfect for those who thrive in dynamic environments and are passionate about empowering K-12 students to achieve success in their academic and functional goals. Located in the vibrant Denver area, you’ll work onsite in a supportive educational setting providing leave coverage.

Your assignment will cover a full-time, Monday through Friday schedule at 37.5 hours per week, with the number of school sites to be determined. Each day, you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and directly impact student development across a wide age range.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Colorado Department of Education certification as an Occupational Therapist (ages birth through 21)
  • Previous experience working in school settings or with K-12 populations highly desired
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to varying caseloads and environments
  • Willingness to promptly complete a background check following acceptance of an offer

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students according to individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Assess and document student needs and progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, aides, and families to support student goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on strategies and modifications
  • Serve multiple ages and settings, adjusting to the specific requirements of assigned schools
