This contract opportunity spans the entire school year, providing you with the ability to make a lasting impact on the lives of your students and collaborate closely with a supportive multidisciplinary team. You will work onsite, leading a classroom of 10 students with the assistance of full-time paraeducators, and benefit from regular support by specialists including BCBA, SLP, OT/PT, and school psychologists/social workers.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of one year of classroom teaching experience, preferably within special education settings
  • Current active CDE teaching license, or must be in process of obtaining (copies required for interview consideration)
  • Skilled at adapting to changing needs and working collaboratively with fellow educators and support staff
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs
  • Collaborate effectively with paraeducators and specialists to implement student IEPs and behavioral plans
  • Foster peer mentorship and facilitate positive classroom dynamics
  • Track student progress and maintain thorough, up-to-date documentation
  • Communicate proactively with families and team members
  • Uphold a safe and supportive classroom climate
