Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching License
- Previous experience teaching in K-8 settings strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs), assessments, and progress monitoring
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to instruction
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small group instruction tailored to students' unique learning needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in partnership with parents, staff, and administrative teams
- Track student progress and maintain accurate, detailed records
- Communicate regularly with families and collaborate with general education teachers
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and ongoing training opportunities
- Promote a positive, respectful classroom culture that enhances student confidence and growth
