Step into an impactful, contract-based role supporting local schools as a School Psychologist, providing essential services to special education students. This opportunity involves dynamic assignments for leave coverage, with locations and schedules tailored to district needs during the school year. Enjoy both variety and meaningful collaboration in a setting exclusively on site within the Denver metro area.

Your assignments may include:

  • Providing direct individual and group counseling aligned with IEP mental health goals
  • Developing and implementing interventions at individual, group, or systemic levels to support academic and social-emotional growth
  • Maintaining comprehensive documentation including service logs, progress reports, and evaluation reports
  • Collaborating with external service providers, families, teachers, and administrators to create holistic support networks
  • Conducting crisis response activities: suicide risk assessments, threat assessments, and supporting safety planning
  • Completing and interpreting a wide range of psychological assessments; developing Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavioral Intervention Plans
  • Participating actively in IEP meetings, team planning, MTSS, and ongoing professional development
  • Offering staff psychoeducation, supporting MTSS and leadership councils, and coordinating community-based mental health resources

What we seek:

  • Previous experience in a school psychology setting is required
  • Strong skills in psychological assessment and intervention
  • Outstanding written/verbal communication and collaboration abilities
  • Advanced critical thinking, crisis management, and multitasking skills
  • Calm, professional demeanor during complex or stressful situations
  • Adaptability and cultural responsiveness
  • Master’s, Specialist, or Doctorate in School Psychology
  • Active Colorado Special Service Provider license in School Psychology
  • Confidence using technology for documentation and communication
  • Successful completion of district background and fingerprinting requirements
