Per Diem Staff Pharmacist | Headland, Alabama

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide expert pharmacy services in a busy specialty retail setting with a warm, family-oriented atmosphere. As a Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications while managing pharmacy technicians and contributing to a high-performing team.

Location: Headland, AL (with coverage in Dothan, AL)

Schedule:

• Monday to Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Friday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
• Saturday & Sunday: Closed

Responsibilities:

• Verify and accurately dispense prescriptions
• Oversee and direct activities of pharmacy technicians
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and company policies
• Maintain thorough documentation and communication within the pharmacy team
• Support the smooth daily operations of a specialty retail pharmacy

Qualifications:

• Current Alabama State Pharmacist license in good standing, with no negative history
• 2+ years of recent experience as a retail staff pharmacist
• Experience in a busy independent or specialty pharmacy environment
• Ability to manage and lead at least one pharmacy technician effectively
• Familiarity with Pioneer RX is highly desirable
