In this role, you’ll be immersed in the Promising Students Program, where your background in behavioral and counseling psychology will be pivotal to supporting students with the district’s most intensive social, emotional, and behavioral needs. You’ll help transform lives through trauma-informed practices, early intervention, and data-driven strategies, providing critical services to help students thrive academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and small-group counseling sessions
  • Carry out psychoeducational and behavioral assessments
  • Complete Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs)
  • Develop and monitor Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Support and implement MTSS initiatives
  • Collaborate with teachers and families on student progress
  • Actively participate in IEP and Section 504 meetings
  • Assist with crisis response and safety planning
  • Create transition plans for reintegration into home schools

What We’re Looking For:

  • Valid School Psychologist credential
  • Experience with trauma-informed care and behavioral interventions
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
  • Comfort working with students with intensive behavioral needs
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and school teams
  • Strong communication and data-driven decision-making abilities
