Ideal candidates will have:
- A Master’s degree in school psychology
- At least two years of experience as a school psychologist intern or comparable experience
- Valid state certification as a School Psychologist
- Comprehensive knowledge of psychoeducational assessments and intervention strategies
- Strong skills in preparing and presenting reports to diverse audiences
- Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting psychoeducational and behavioral evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services
- Offering mental health services, including individual and group counseling
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and outside professionals to support learning and behavioral needs
- Participating in multidisciplinary placement and assessment teams; aiding in the development of IEPs
- Leading crisis management and intervention services
- Coordinating with community agencies for broader student and family support
- Delivering in-service instruction to school staff and parents
- Keeping detailed records and preparing necessary documentation for assessments and services provided
