Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in School Psychology required
- Minimum two years of experience as a school psychologist intern, or equivalent combination of education and training
- Valid state certification as a School Psychologist
- Strong skills in psychoeducational assessments, data analysis, and report writing
- Ability to interpret and apply relevant laws, policies, and school protocols
- Proficient with computers and common office equipment
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and counseling abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine eligibility for special education, including psychological and behavioral evaluations
- Score and interpret test data, preparing detailed reports and sharing findings with parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide both individual and group counseling to support student mental health needs
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and external partners to promote positive behavioral and learning outcomes
- Participate in Student Assessment Teams, IEP development, and multidisciplinary committee meetings
- Coordinate and deliver crisis management services, intervention strategies, and in-service training sessions
- Maintain accurate records, prepare Medicaid reimbursement forms, and keep current on professional best practices and regulatory changes
