Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in school psychology
- State certification as a School Psychologist (required)
- At least two years of experience as a school psychologist intern or equivalent
- Proficiency in conducting and interpreting psychoeducational assessments
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams
- Technical skills for administering, scoring, and reporting assessments digitally
- Adaptability in dynamic, time-sensitive situations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Complete comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to determine student eligibility for special education services
- Conduct individual and group counseling, offering mental health support for students
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and parents, providing consultation and strategies to support student growth
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP development
- Coordinate crisis management programming and interventions within the school and district
- Maintain thorough records and prepare detailed, insightful reports
- Provide in-service training and stay informed of current professional best practices and legislative requirements
- Liaise with community medical, social, and mental health agencies to ensure holistic student support
