Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ growth and success by providing occupational therapy services in a school-based setting near Dayton, OH. This role is structured for 24 hours per week, making it ideal for professionals seeking a balanced schedule. For those interested in additional hours, there are also nearby options for 16 or 28 hours weekly—these may be combined for a fuller caseload based on your preferences.

Qualified occupational therapists (OTs) and certified occupational therapy assistants (COTAs) with available supervision are welcome to apply. You will collaborate with educators and support staff, developing and delivering targeted interventions that enhance students' participation and independence in the classroom environment.

Qualifications/Preferred Experience:

  • Current licensure as an OT or COTA in Ohio (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Previous experience or strong interest in school-based practice
  • Ability to create individualized and group treatment plans for students
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with school teams and families
  • Organizational skills for managing caseloads across multiple campuses if combining assignments
  • Comfortable with both direct and consultative therapy services

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and write intervention plans that address students’ functional needs in the academic setting
  • Document student progress, maintain timely records, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
  • Engage in consultative support to teachers and families, offering strategies for classroom integration
  • Travel to and from assigned school sites (if covering more than one in a week)
  • Participate as an integral member of the multidisciplinary student support team
