Job Description
Make a positive impact in local schools by supporting students’ growth and development as an occupational therapy professional. This flexible contract opportunity is open to both licensed Occupational Therapists and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (with available supervision), and offers a unique chance to enhance your clinical experience across multiple nearby locations.
Enjoy a part-time schedule with 12 hours per week at one site, and the option to combine with an additional 8-hour weekly position at another close location, allowing you to tailor your workload to your preferences.
Key Qualifications:
- Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Previous school-based OT experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other education professionals
- Organizational skills to manage documentation and caseload efficiently
- For COTAs: eligibility to work under the supervision of a licensed OT
Primary Functions:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Assess, plan, and implement interventions to help students succeed in their educational environment
- Work alongside teachers, staff, and families to maximize student participation and independence
- Accurately document sessions and progress using school-based electronic systems
- Travel between two nearby locations (if pairing positions) to maximize impact and flexibility
