Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the Cincinnati area. This flexible position offers 12 hours per week at a welcoming school setting, with the added possibility to combine with an additional 8-hour opening nearby, allowing for an expanded schedule if desired. Therapists will work within a collaborative educational team focused on making a lasting difference in students’ lives.
Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Ohio
- Experience providing school-based OT services preferred
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families
- Organized, reliable, and passionate about supporting children’s developmental progress
- COTAs must be eligible for on-site or remote supervision
Position Details and Duties:
- Provide direct therapy services to students as prescribed in Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Assess students’ functional abilities in the school environment, supporting sensory, fine motor, and self-help skills
- Collaborate closely with educational and therapeutic teams to develop and adjust interventions
- Maintain session documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and legal requirements
- Engage in consultation with teachers and parents to support student success in diverse learning environments
