Per Diem Staff Pharmacist - Asheville, NC

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A retail pharmacist position is available to provide per diem coverage primarily on Fridays from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with the possibility of additional days and vacation coverage. This role involves working alongside a team consisting of one other pharmacist and two pharmacy technicians in a retail pharmacy setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions and ensure accuracy of technician-prepared medications
• Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and answer pharmacy-related inquiries
• Supervise and check the work of pharmacy technicians
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws and standards
• Administer immunizations if certification is held

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid North Carolina pharmacist license
• Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience
• Immunization certification preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and counseling skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
