Special Education Teacher | Long Beach, California

Both positions are contract-based roles serving students near Long Beach, California, in school locations situated in Santa Ana. Two openings are available:

Position 1:

• Full-time schedule
• Serve elementary and middle school students (both at the same location)
• Mild/Moderate disability caseload
• Approximately 28 students
• Provide both push-in and pull-out instructional services

Position 2:

• Full-time, itinerant across two nearby schools (just two miles apart)
• Work with middle and high school students
• Caseload currently at 20 students, will not exceed 28
• Offer push-in and pull-out services

Qualifications:

• Valid California CTC Certification with Mild/Moderate endorsement (required)
• Experience delivering push-in and pull-out services
• Solid understanding of IEP implementation, progress monitoring, and student advocacy
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families

Responsibilities:

• Manage assigned student caseloads and develop individualized education plans
• Collaborate with general education teachers and school teams
• Support students in inclusive and resource settings
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to compliance timelines
• Foster a positive, supportive, and productive classroom environment
