Inpatient Pharmacist - Long Beach, California

Pharmacists are needed for inpatient hospital settings within a respected county health system. This role focuses on supporting pharmacy operations at a well-established medical center and offers the opportunity for long-term career growth in a unionized environment with excellent benefits.

Location:

• Long Beach, CA (with primary work at a major medical center in the area)

Schedule:

• Variable days and afternoons
• Four 10-hour shifts per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive inpatient pharmacy services in a hospital setting
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate medication dispensing and patient safety
• Support pharmacy operations to meet the needs of a large health system serving diverse patient populations
• Prepare for and successfully pass competency evaluations required by the employer

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Pharmacist license with approximately two years of recent inpatient experience, ideally with PGY1 residency completion
• Strong clinical knowledge and skills applicable to hospital inpatient pharmacy practice
• Ability to pass a challenging competency exam on first attempt
• Willingness to undergo background checks and complete the onboarding process
• Candidates aiming for long-term placement with the county health system are highly preferred
