Per Diem Staff Pharmacist | Slocomb, Alabama

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Location:

• Slocomb, AL with coverage in Dothan, AL for initial dates

Schedule:

• Monday to Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Friday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
• Saturday & Sunday: Closed

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify prescription orders for accuracy and appropriateness
• Manage and supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations
• Deliver excellent patient care in a busy independent and specialty pharmacy setting

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Alabama State Pharmacist license in good standing (no negative history)
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a retail staff pharmacist
• Experience working in a specialty or independent pharmacy environment is highly valued
• Proven ability to oversee and lead pharmacy technicians
• Familiarity with Pioneer RX software is a strong plus

This role requires a pharmacist who is detail-oriented and comfortable managing a team within a fast-paced, specialty-focused retail pharmacy. The assignment is contracted with signed status and includes initial coverage dates with ongoing shifts that may be scheduled 1-2 months in advance.
