Step into an important role making a difference for students as a part-time Occupational Therapist in a dynamic school-based setting near Fremont, CA. This contract position begins as soon as possible and lasts through June 11th, with hours and specific school location to be determined. You’ll be part of a supportive environment where your expertise directly supports students’ growth, independence, and success in their educational journey.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license for California, or eligibility under the California Occupational Therapy Practice Act
  • Minimum of two years’ clinical experience in pediatric therapy, especially with developmental disabilities
  • Prior experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and families within educational settings is highly valued
  • Strong communication, documentation, and time management skills
  • Onsite availability required; virtual or hybrid options are not available for this position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough student assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver targeted therapy to students to promote fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living competencies
  • Collaborate closely with educators, counselors, and family members to support each student’s unique needs
  • Remain up-to-date on best practices and procedural compliance within school-based OT
  • Document services and student progress in alignment with school and state requirements
  • Participate in meetings, trainings, and ongoing program development
