Occupational Therapist School Setting in San Jose, CA

Key Qualifications:

• Hold, or be eligible for, a valid California Occupational Therapist license (in accordance with the California Occupational Therapy Practice Act)
• Minimum of two years’ clinical experience in pediatric therapy, with a strong focus on developmental disabilities
• Background in school-based or educational settings strongly preferred
• Demonstrated success collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and working effectively with families
• Ability to work exclusively onsite; this assignment does not offer virtual or hybrid options

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students with a variety of developmental and physical needs
• Deliver direct occupational therapy services tailored to each child’s IEP goals within the school setting
• Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to foster optimal outcomes for students
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and communicate progress regularly to the school team and families
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional expertise to student support planning
