A rewarding opportunity awaits a dedicated Occupational Therapist with expertise in school-based pediatric therapy. Offering a part-time contract role with a start date as soon as possible and an assignment running through mid-June, this position is ideal for professionals who thrive in educational settings and have a genuine commitment to supporting students’ developmental needs.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working exclusively onsite and available for assignment in the San Jose area, with specific hours and school placements to be determined. You’ll contribute to a passionate multidisciplinary team, empowering students of various ages and abilities to achieve greater independence and success in their educational environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid California Occupational Therapist license, or eligibility for licensure under the California Occupational Therapy Practice Act.
  • Minimum two years’ clinical experience in pediatric therapy, with a strong foundation in developmental disabilities.
  • Prior experience within an educational setting is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and build positive relationships with students and families.
  • Enthusiasm for working onsite with flexibility in assignment location and schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to determine students’ needs related to motor skills, sensory processing, and functional performance.
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans aligned with students’ educational goals.
  • Document progress, collaborate with educators, and participate in IEP meetings as part of a dynamic school team.
  • Serve as an advocate and resource for students, families, and staff regarding occupational therapy services and strategies.
