Step into a meaningful role as an onsite Sign Language Interpreter, supporting a high school student during the entire 2026-2027 school year. Set within a dynamic educational environment, you’ll provide critical access to classroom instruction and foster inclusion, helping a student thrive academically and socially. This part-time contract position offers a schedule of two days weekly (ideally Monday and Friday but with flexibility based on your and the school’s needs).

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid EIPA score of 3.5 or above (please include with your application)
  • Experience providing sign language interpretation in a school or educational setting
  • Comfortable working 1:1 with a high school student in academic classes
  • Ability to complete Pennsylvania onboarding within one year of start date
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a commitment to supporting student success

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver accurate and nuanced interpretation for a student in regular academic programming, ensuring comprehension and participation
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff to facilitate an inclusive learning environment
  • Assist the student in fully accessing classroom discussions, assignments, and activities
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and sensitivity to the needs of the student
