Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid and current licensure as a School Social Worker (SW Renewal only)
• Previous experience working in a school setting is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of counseling, crisis intervention, and case management principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with educators, families, and community partners
• Ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism
• Up-to-date on current best practices and legal standards in school social work

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide direct individual and group counseling services to students in need
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to develop intervention strategies
• Support the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 plans as needed
• Respond quickly and effectively to crisis situations as they arise on campus
• Connect families with community resources to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
• Assist in fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive school environment
