Step into a rewarding contract role supporting preschool-aged students as a School Psychologist in a vibrant educational setting. This assignment, beginning mid-September and running through January with the potential for extension, offers you the chance to make a lasting difference in early childhood education. The position is full-time, working 37.5 hours across a standard Monday-Friday schedule.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Current California certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children, ideally within a school environment
  • Strong skills in psychological assessment, counseling, and consultation
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of early childhood development and intervention strategies
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and record-keeping abilities

Position Responsibilities:

  • Administer age-appropriate psychological and behavioral assessments for preschool students
  • Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with staff and families
  • Offer direct counseling and intervention services as needed
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to foster a safe, inclusive environment
  • Consult on classroom strategies, behavioral supports, and social-emotional learning
  • Participate in meetings, evaluations, and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Maintain detailed documentation and comply with all school and district policies
