Job Description
Step into a meaningful role as a School Psychologist supporting a vibrant special education preschool program. The position begins mid-to-late September and is guaranteed through at least January, with a strong possibility of extending through the end of the academic year.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Valid California School Psychologist credential
- Prior experience working with preschool and/or special education populations strongly preferred
- Strong assessment, consultation, and report-writing abilities
- Skills in collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Compassionate communication and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments
What the role entails:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments for students in a special education preschool setting
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to the development of individualized education plans
- Consulting with teachers and staff to support positive learning and behavioral outcomes
- Providing direct and indirect services to students to maximize success in the classroom
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with applicable regulations
- Acting as a resource for families by offering guidance and supports addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs
