Special Education Teacher in Nashua, NH

Step into a rewarding contract position supporting the growth and education of students requiring special education services near Nashua, NH. This full-time opportunity runs from August 2026 through June 2027, offering the chance to make a meaningful difference in both a 2nd grade and a 5th grade caseload, spanning two local school sites. You'll work 32–37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, and play a key role in the academic and social development of about 15 students across these grade levels.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current certification in Special Education (appropriate for NH)
• Previous experience handling caseloads in elementary environments preferred
• Strong background in differentiated instruction and IEP implementation
• Effective communication with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities across two nearby school locations
• Skills in assessment, progress monitoring, and data-driven instruction

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to 2nd and 5th graders, meeting individual learning needs
• Develop, review, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Maintain thorough case management records for assigned students
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and support strategies
