Special Education Teacher in Manchester, NH

Exciting opportunities await for experienced Special Education teachers passionate about making a difference in the lives of students. Two full-time contract positions are available for the 2026-2027 academic year in a school setting close to Manchester, NH. These roles span from August 2026 through June 2027 and are ideal for educators eager to support 5th and 6th grade learners.

Openings include:

• A resource room position serving approximately 15 students across grade levels.
• An intensive needs/life skills classroom teacher overseeing a small, self-contained group of 3 students with complex medical needs and/or autism spectrum disorders. Each child in this environment is supported by a dedicated paraprofessional.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligible for certification upon hire).
• Experience working within resource rooms and/or life skills classrooms strongly preferred.
• Knowledge and demonstrated expertise supporting students with a range of learning differences, including those on the autism spectrum and students requiring medical care within a school setting.
• Ability to develop and modify individualized instruction based on IEPs and collaboration with instructional teams and paraprofessionals.
• Strong communication skills for fostering positive relationships with students, families, and school staff.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted instruction and modifications for assigned caseload.
• Implement IEPs, document student progress, and communicate consistently with families.
• Coordinate with paraprofessionals and related service providers, especially in the intensive needs classroom.
• Maintain a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student growth.

Both positions offer a consistent, full-time weekday schedule of 32-37.5 hours per week across the academic calendar.
