Job Description
Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting young learners as a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Based near Concord, NH, this full-time role spans August through June and involves working between two supportive elementary school environments, providing essential instruction and case management to a caseload of approximately 15 students in grades 2 and 5.
As a vital resource for children with diverse learning needs, your passion and expertise will help create inclusive, effective educational experiences. You’ll enjoy a balanced Monday–Friday schedule, working 32 to 37.5 hours weekly and collaborating with compassionate, like-minded professionals.
What we’re looking for:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education (or eligible for certification)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, especially in grade 2 and/or grade 5
- Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills
- Proficiency in IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration abilities
- Dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering individualized instruction and support to students with varied learning profiles
- Managing a caseload of about 15 students across two nearby elementary locations
- Creating and adapting lesson plans to meet IEP goals
- Conducting assessments to monitor progress and modify instruction as needed
- Performing case management duties, including IEP meetings, parent communication, and required documentation
- Working closely with general education teachers and related service providers
